Minolta 300mm f2.8 |
|
This is a very sharp, durable well build telephoto lens. Notice the two-screw Kirk hex plate. It prevents the lens from loosening up from the tripod when carried over the shoulder. |

Kenko 20 and 36 mm extension tubes. |
|
Extension tubes alowe closer focusing. Imagine having a 400mm lens pointed and focused a cross a river waiting for a limpkin to emerge. Unexpectedly a beutuiful dargonfly lands 3 feet from your camera. That is when you slowly put the extension tubes on.

SONY has done a great job trying to keep the (old) Minolta accesories compatibile with Sony bodies. The only thing that does not work is the TTL meatering with Minolta flashes. |

Sigma 10-20mm f 4.5-5.6 |
|
Designed for DSLR only. My SONY A100 has the 1.5 lens extension factor which still makes it a great 15-30mm lens, especially with the Tiffen wide angle 77mm polarizing filter. |

Minolta teleconverters. |
|
The 1.4x on the 300mm f 2.8 is an excellent combination, sharp and fast focusing. 2x slows down focusing and is difficult to hold steady with the 300mm lens, even on a heavy tripod. |

A lens of outstanding mechanical quality and sharpness. In the picture it is shown with Kenko extension tubes for magnification beyond 1:1. |
